Hello green - color and light design in the bathroom
I love using colors when designing rooms and I like to get a little more colorful! Colorful accents can not only give a room individuality, but can also positively influence the mood and atmosphere. Unfortunately, some people shy away from using bold colors in their homes. Not because they don't like bold colors, but because they are worried that they might regret their decision and "get tired of it."
I like to encourage my customers to choose a color statement in all or selected areas of their home! Because colors can have numerous positive effects on residents.
• Colors have a direct influence on our emotions. Bright colors, especially warm and lively tones, can have a positive influence on the mood and create a happy atmosphere.
• The size of a room can be visually influenced through clever color design. Light colors make rooms feel larger and more open, while darker colors can create a cozier atmosphere.
• Relaxation and calming: Cooler colors such as blue and green have a calming effect and can reduce stress. They are particularly suitable for bedrooms or bathrooms where relaxation and recovery are the priority.
It is important to note that the effect of colors can vary from person to person. Personal preferences, cultural backgrounds and personal experiences play a role in the perception of colors. It therefore makes sense to take into account the specific needs and preferences of residents in order to achieve optimal color design. When designing this small bathroom, my customers trusted me and I convinced them to have a green bathroom.
In order to be able to create a bathroom that is individually designed and tailored to the personal needs of the user, I have to understand the needs and wishes of my customers. What functions should the bathroom fulfill? Which style do you prefer? Do special requirements such as accessibility need to be taken into account?
PLANNING
The next step is to develop a floor plan in order to plan the optimal room layout. The arrangement of the sanitary facilities, such as shower, washbasin, toilet, plays a crucial role. Ergonomic requirements, minimum distances and functional processes should be taken into account and implemented in the best possible way.
LIGHTING & COLOR
In bathrooms without daylight - like this one - in addition to the choice of color and material, efficient and atmospheric lighting is a crucial criterion for well-being. To create a pleasant atmosphere, general lighting was combined with dimmable ceiling spots with indirect lighting effects. The round mirror with integrated storage space is optimally illuminated from above with additional spots, ensuring a good view when applying make-up or shaving. All lighting components can be switched individually and different lighting scenarios can be programmed using a smart control system. The illuminated utensil niche in the shower sets a special accent. Details like these, together with the choice of color, give the small room a sense of spaciousness. On the one hand, green has a calming effect on the mind and at the same time gives the body freshness and vitality. In combination with the wood tones of the floor and vanity, it also creates a certain grounding. A connection to nature. All of these carefully coordinated components have created a bathroom in a small space that you can relax in and enjoy spending time in.
